OpenCanvas

OpenCanvas is an open-source CRM designed for community canvassing and engagement organizations. It's being built for Everyday Canvassing, a community engagement non-profit in Montgomery County, Maryland.

The system has two parts: a mobile app for canvassers in the field, and a web dashboard for organizers to manage campaigns, track progress, and coordinate volunteers.

The goal is to fully replace miniVAN/Votebuilder for all canvassing needs—providing case management, project visualization, and volunteer coordination in one place that we actually control.

**Try it out:** The prototype has a guest mode that lets you explore the dashboard with sample data—no account required. You can browse the map view, see how projects and cases are organized, and get a feel for the workflow.
